Are Internet Sales Letters Dead?
We’ve all come across the long sales letters online that take a good ten minutes to read before we get to the price of the item being promoted. But do they still work?
Perhaps it’s not so much the length of the sales letter that matters; it’s what you put in it. We can’t talk to a salesperson and ask them questions online, so the sales letter has to answer all the questions we may have about the product or service and remove all the barriers to buying it. Short sales letters simply don’t have the room to convey all the necessary information that would persuade someone to buy the product being promoted. This is especially true with information products, which need to prove they are different from the wealth of competition they are up against.
Google Audio Ads – The Future of Radio Advertising?
If you are already familiar with Google Adwords, then you know what an effective tool it is when trying to target select marketing groups for your business. Google has recently updated Adwords to include radio ads that can be broadcast by hundreds of terrestrial and satellite radio stations. By filling out a simple form that asks questions about your target audience, where you would like the ad to air and how often, if you have a script, and your call to action, which is what you expect from the listener, you will be able to reach them quickly and easily.
Each time your ad is aired, you will be charged for it. You can choose in advance how many times you want it aired.
Wired Magazine
Although my entire life is spent in front of the laptop, analysing statistics, managing campaigns, researching competitors, launching new businesses… I also like to relax with a good magazine.
Up until recently I couldn’t find a magazine that spoke to my interests, to my needs… with news that impacted me and my clients directly.
Whenever I walked past a newsagency I would walk inside and review the computer section. Mostly I would find magazines about computers or video games, but there wasn’t a magazine targeted to those in the online space… a magazine which discussed relevant topics to my industry and the Internet as a whole.

The Importance of Email Marketing
Most of the people who visit your site will never buy. In fact, if your website produces a 1% conversion rate your website is considered successful.
In most cases, that means that 99 out of every 100 people who visit your site will leave and never come back… ever.
By offering something of high perceived value absolutely free to your website visitors, in exchange for their name and email address, you can capture a much larger number of people into your online marketing system.

In the first 6 months of 2006 internet advertising hit a record 8 billion dollars with the estimated expenditure for the full year of 2006 estimated at 15.7 billion dollars… according to a recent study by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
… that’s the same value as the annual GDP of countries like Uruguay, Iceland, Panama and Yemen!
Search marketing has grown by a staggering 40% over the past 12 months proving that having an online presence is critical in achieving business success in the 21st century.
Is This The Beginning Of A New Era?
I was just reading in the USA Today about an issue in the United States congress between Internet content providers, such as Google and eBay, and phone and cable giants, such as AT&T and Verizon.
The phone companies are proposing to offer premium-priced delivery services to offset their multi-billion dollar investments in broadband. How this would work is that the phone companies would charge Internet content providers a ‘fee’ to provide faster services for website visitors.
