I would also like to add that if you drive traffic with CPC, the average click cost as a percentage of the product sell price plays a big role when your item sells for only a few dollars.

For example: A click cost of $0.75 to sell a product of $20 for a web site with an average conversion rate of only 5% means that you will spend around $15 to sell that item, giving you only $5 to pay for other costs. Hardly worth it.

If the item sells for $200 for the same conversion, you still have $185 to play with.

Useful information. And site owners please note - none of this can be done without analytics software on your site. I meet so many business owners who do not get this.

Thanks

Very thorough information guys.

I guess it pays to know your CPA is and how to as inexpensively but at the same time affectively increase it.

In regards to the "What is your CPA? question

my answer is: pretty ordinary, which is why I landed on this page in the first place

Cheers

Very timely info there.

Thank-you!

So true...It used to cost me thousands to get one customer in an offline biz I used to have...

An office, a girl, GST, Book keeper, phones, faxes, advertising, mailing...wail, wail, gnash of teeth!

Enter the internet!

No office, no girl...Aweber does her $1600 a month part time job for around $20 a MONTH 24/7...etc

Now, with virtually no expenses & 99% profit...there's only tax to pay...
CPA at the moment, as a newbie...is now in hours on my sit bones!

Kindest,
Poppie
